           ALL ABOUT HIDDEN HISTORY DFW

The Dallas area is home to one million African American citizens, but very few know much about the history of the early settlers and communities for people of color.

This entertaining and educational tour will explore this almost forgotten history by visiting many of the sites that were instrumental in the development of vibrant African American communities throughout the city.

This three hour tour will visit over twenty historic sites that trace the path of the African American journey in one of America’s largest cities.

You will learn about the two largest settlements following the civil war, the role of African Americans in the formation of Deep Ellum, and how the southern Dallas migration changed the face of the city forever.

WE ARE MORE THAN TOURS

Hidden History DFW also provides African American films, educational presentations, and apparel celebrating African American history.

The documentary film “The Great Yates” tells the story of the greatest team in Texas High School history, the 1985 Jack Yates Lions.

Educational presentations include Dallas the First 100 Years, Deep Ellum, and Juneteenth. Presentations are virtual and in-person.

Hidden History Apparel provides apparel celebrating and honoring African American history.
